Non-human primate toxicology
Citoxlab – The one-stop CRO for monoclonals and biologicals
> Non-human primate toxicology
> Bioanalysis of peptides and proteins
Due to species-specific differences in pharmacology or metabolism that cannot be evaluated in other non-rodent species, the safety of certain medicinal agents and biologicals is tested in non-human primates.
Projects using cynomolgus or rhesus monkeys can be initiated on short lead-times, as a pool of quarantined animals are available on-site in France and North-America. The Citoxlab group also has its own breeding center, Le Tamarinier in Mauritius, which guarantees supply flexibility, with full health records and breeding history, to ensure we have the required naïve primates for your development program.
An extensive panel of biomarkers has been validated for use in toxicology studies, and our board certified pathologists are familiar with the spontaneous lesions that can occur in the animals from each source.
